Hosted by CKCU 93.1 FM’s Kim Valentine and Jumpin’ Joel Flash, the one-night event was like a revue of Ottawa r&b and funk acts, with solo performances and guest artists accompanying one another.

Ottawa-born, singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Sophie D’Orléans launched her first single with a live performance on March 8, 2020, just days before Ottawa Public Health announced the city’s first case of COVID-19. Two weeks later, the city shut down non-essential businesses, declaring a state of emergency.
The end of August is upon us. It may not seem like it, with the blazing hot weather we’ve been having, but summer is winding down. Thankfully, there is plenty to do this weekend – whether in person or virtually – to help you make the most of one of the last weekends of the season.
