The city keeps getting greener, and the weather will be heating up again this weekend, in time for some of our favourite spring activities. Whether it’s shopping, catching some live music or sports or just trying something new, get out there and enjoy the city!

So if there’s a local artist, band, or music industry professional you feel deserves recognition, now’s the time to get those nominations in!
Nominations are now open for the sixth annual Capital Music Awards until Nov. 11 at 5pm EDT. This year’s event will take place at the National Arts Centre’s Southam Hall on May 22, 2025.

Last night, at the fourth annual OMIC Capital Music Awards, Apartment613 was thrilled and honoured to receive the Community Impact Award on behalf of our volunteer contributors—in particular those who have written about, photographed, promoted and supported live music and local musicians in Ottawa-Gatineau.
