2018 has been a huge year for The Beaches, on the back of winning the JUNO Award for Breakthrough Group of the Year, to being endorsed by Sir Elton John personally on his BBC Radio show, to opening for the Foo Fighters in Toronto.

Kylie Miller of The Beaches.

Their hit single ‘T-Shirt’ from the band’s 2017 release The Late Show remained atop the Billboard rock charts for over 8 weeks this past summer, with millions hearing the band’s versatility and style in a genre that can be difficult to stand out in. On November 9th, the band released a new single entitled ‘Fascination,’ full of catchy hooks that will have crowds singing along in no time.

What to expect from a Beaches show? A vocal powerhouse in Jordan Miller, who strikes a balance between the alternative-grunge sound of the mid-90s to early new wave Chrissie Hynde. The formidable Eliza Enman-McDaniel on the drums, who puts one hundred percent intensity into every hit of the drumhead. On the keys, guitar, and vocals, the multi-talented Leandra Earl combined with the attitude-infused lead guitar of Kylie Miller consistently feed off each other’s energy.

After playing to a sold out 27 Club in May, followed by a performance in Major’s Hill Park on Canada Day, The Beaches return for a night full of fueled, high-energy fun that will be one of the best picks for December. The show is close to selling out, so grab a ticket for December 1st at the Bronson Centre before they’re gone, and head on down to the late show.

The Beaches are playing The Bronson Centre Theatre on Saturday December 1 with support from Goodbye Honolulu. Tickets cost $20-$22.50 and are available online. Show starts at 8pm.
